By the time January hits, we’re usually tired of winter already. Thankfully most of these recommended tasks are indoors.
#1 Organize Holiday Decorations
As you are putting away decorations, evaluate them for safety. Throw out damaged lights or broken bulbs. Label each box so you can find what you need easily next winter.
#2 Deep Clean the Kitchen
Now that the holiday guests are gone, it’s time to clean! Vacuum behind the refrigerator and clean the coils. Clean the oven. Make sure the area is well ventilated when doing so, especially if you are using a chemical cleaner.
#3 Cabinets Need Love Too!
Wipe down the cabinets in your kitchen and bath rooms. Tighten any doors and adjust hinges. Touch up or repaint if necessary. And clean out the insides of the cabinets as well.
#4 Attend to Neglected Items
Dust ceiling fan and blinds – those items that are often neglected. Clean curtains according to manufacturer’s instructions.
