So, since its Day One, the first thing we need to talk about is just getting yourself prepared – mentally, physically and financially. You know sometimes renting makes more sense for people and that’s okay. We are not going to push you into something that is not good for you. But if you believe you are ready to make the commitment, that is great! Let’s move on.
The other thing that you need to think about outside of, you know, ”Am I ready for what comes with home ownership” is finding a real estate agent.
One of the questions people always ask is “Why do I need an agent”? Well, we agents handle real estate day in and day out, time and time again, so what is foreign to you is second nature to us. In addition to walking through the transaction with you, we can also be valuable resources and help getting you connected. If you need a lender, for example, so that you can get qualified to actually purchase a home, we have lenders we work with that will have your best interests at heart. If you need work done on your existing home so that you can sell it so that you can buy a home, we have recommendations for that as well. We have all sorts of connections that we can help you with in the process to before, during or after the sale.
Like I said, you need a good Realtor. Whether it’s me someone else (hint: it’s me), get yourself a Realtor.
