While the old children’s rhyme puts a baby carriage as the next step, they forgot about a place for that new family to live! Whether you purchase a home before you get married after, home ownership is a natural progression for most couples. Home ownership is still a huge part of the American Dream for most.
This Saturday, February 4th, I will be co-hosting a booth at the Kansas City Bridal Extravaganza at the Overland Park Convention Center. We will be talking with Brides about the Homes for Heroes program, and answering any questions about the home buying process.
Homes for Heroes was developed after the tragic events of 9/11 as a way for the real-estate community to give back to those who works so hard to allow us to live the life we live. Homes for Heroes will save Heroes money as they are buy or sell homes.
Who is like Hero you ask? A hero is anyone that is or has served in any branch of the military, or is a peace officer, firefighter, EMT or other first responder, works in the healthcare industry or education. This includes the support staff – from the person who serves lunch to the janitor!
If by chance you happen to be at the Overland Park Convention Center at the Kansas City Bridal extravaganza on Saturday February 4th, 2017, please stop by our booth. We are Booth #710. We have several giveaways, and are excited to answer any questions and spread the word about Homes for Heroes.
